Enrolment

A central enrolment process…

GKA manages a central enrolment service for our centres’ programs.

Information from the Geelong Kindergarten Association Website:

Kindergarten programs

Most GKA centres use our Central Enrolment Register for a comprehensive enrolment service to help place over 1000 families in government funded GKA kindergarten programs (4-5 year old children).

Please visit the Centres page of the kindergarten that you wish your child to attend to see if that centre uses our Central Enrolment Register or if you need to enquire directly to the Centre of your choice.

Pre-kindergarten programs

Many centres also offer pre-kindergarten programs (3 year old children).

To obtain information about GKA centres that have pre-kindergarten programs please visit the Centres page of the kindergarten that you wish your child to attend.

You only need to complete one registration per child for both 3 and 4 year old programs.

Children must be 4 years of age prior to 30th April – children whose birthday is between January and April of the kindergarten year are encouraged to consider enrolling their child in the following year. This will enable the child to achieve more successfully. Children are entitled to attend one year of funded kindergarten prior to school entry.

To register your child for a GKA kindergarten:

You can download the Handbook or you can pick up one between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday from our office at 1/2 Waratah Street, Geelong West, or call 5273 0200 and we can mail a form to you.

We need:

  • a copy of your child’s birth certificate, passport or a statutory declaration stating their date of birth,
  • the completed enrolment registration form and
  • a $25 administration fee to register your child for kindergarten.

When we receive your completed enrolment registration we will email or write to you confirming your registration.
